Killorglin Community College, situated on a secure, self-contained ten-acre campus boasts of an extensive range of school facilities including a full-sized GAA pitch and basketball court adjacent to the school. This is utilised by male and female school teams throughout the year. Killorglin Community College is fortunate to be able to avail of the excellent indoor gym/multiple court facilities in the Killorglin Community Sports Complex. This affords our students the opportunity to participate in an array of both P.E. and extra-curricular sporting activities such as basketball, badminton, soccer, yoga, orienteering and much more.
Students attending Killorglin Community College have access to a large school library, a digital school library, a canteen service facilitated by an external provider, a fully equipped computer lab, a DCG computer lab and a classroom set of laptops. All class groups are assigned a base class. All practical classrooms are equipped with the latest of modern facilities and ICT equipment. The equipment and extraction systems in the school’s Construction and Metalwork rooms are currently being upgraded. Other practical rooms include an Art room, Home Economics, two Science laboratories and a future classroom. The Agricultural Science Department is currently redeveloping the school’s horticultural garden area and green house. The SEN Department includes five SEN classrooms, and we were delighted to open the doors of the school’s first ASD class, Rang Sonas in September 2021. Teaching and learning at Killorglin Community College is enhanced using a plethora of technological resources and platforms, predominantly Microsoft Office 365.
