Inspection Reports
At Killorglin Community College, we welcome external evaluation as an important way of maintaining high standards and celebrating what works well. Our most recent Whole School Evaluation (2024) highlighted many areas of strength in teaching, leadership, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
Here’s what the inspectors said about KCC:
“The overall quality of teaching and learning was very good, and at times excellent. Warm relationships and strong teacher-learner connections were a key feature across lessons.”
“Trusting and respectful relationships throughout the whole-school community underpinned the very good work being done to ensure positive days at school for students and staff.”
“Systems to support students with SEN were comprehensive and included a particularly impressive approach to gathering relevant information.”
The report also praised the school’s strong leadership, collaborative DEIS planning, and the high level of care that ensures students feel they belong.
