Munster Final Winners 2018

Ladies Football

Ladies football has immensely progressed over recent years at Killorglin Community, and our girls have enjoyed success at county and Munster level. The school strives to get every girl involved by competing in both senior and junior competitions at both county and Munster levels. With our own pitch at our doorstep, it is ideal for getting the girls training at lunchtime.

We extend a massive thanks to Sean Kelly, MEP, who sponsored a new set of jerseys for our girls football team in 2020.

Boys Football

There is a boys GAA team at each age group from 1st year up to 6th year at Killorglin Community College. School trainings take place at lunchtime for the different teams.

The 1st Year team partakes in both 7-a-side blitzes and 15-a-side county competitions. At under 15, under 16.5 and senior level we compete in both Kerry and Munster competitions.

We are fortunate to have many clubs from the Mid-Kerry region representing our teams. Playing with members from other clubs that they usually compete against is an aspect of school football that our students particularly enjoy.

Basketball is much loved and played by many students attending Killorglin Community College. Hence it is a sport that has significantly grown over recent years and both the boys and girls teams have achieved great success at all levels. Our boys and girls basketball teams compete in the All-Ireland Post Primary league. We play in the Southwest region. We have teams at the following age groups;

- First Year

- Second Year

- U16

- U19

Our senior teams season generally runs from September to February with the junior teams commencing in January and finishing in May. Students participate in weekly training sessions.

Rugby was introduced as an extra-curricular sporting activity to Killorglin Community College in 2019.
